Day Trip Itineraries
Slow Dance is idyllic for special occasions such as birthday parties, corporate meetings, romantic outings, and other social events or simply an activity out of the norm. We whisk you off from Marina Del Rey into the tranquil waters of Santa Monica bay. The vantage point from the water is like no other. As we head northward, you take in the striking views of the coast of Venice Beach, Santa Monica along with its famous pier, and Malibu, while enjoying the picturesque mountains and lively sea life that abounds in the bay. You will be pampered by our attentive crew while enjoying the gourmet menu and beverages. When we return to the harbor we take a short tour of Marina Del Rey, the largest man made marina in the world with its colorful buildings of fisherman’s village and over 5,000 boats.
Overnight Itineraries
Trips to Catalina Island are ideal for families or friends who wish to get away from it all without going too far.
Typically guests arrive at the dock in Marina Del Rey at 10 am and are greeted by the crew with a light snack and an introduction to Slow Dance. Shortly thereafter we cast away the lines and set sail for one of Catalina Island’s two dozen anchorages. Depending on your preferences we can go to anchorages that are completely yours without any sights or sounds of civilization or enjoy Avalon Harbor and its quaint mediterranean style town. Either way you will enjoy the peace and serenity of Catalina’s clear waters by kayak, deluxe tender, wakeboard, inter-tube, or by snorkeling. The island also offers spectacular hikes ranging from easy to challenging.
All trips are completely customized to each guest's wishes, so feel free to let the Captain know what experiences you most long for, and together we can plan the ideal itinerary.
Overnight Accomodations
Slow Dance guest’s quarters consist of three staterooms all with “en suite” bathrooms. The Master Stateroom has a queen size bed, flat screen TV, DVD, vanity, shower and soaking bathtub. The VIP Stateroom has a double bed, TV, and DVD; and the Guest Stateroom has one double and one single bed. The Staterooms remind guests of a sophisticated cottage style yet on the romantic sea. Crew’s quarters are located forward, discretely away from the guest Staterooms.

Slow Dance is committed to sustainability through the use of biodegradable detergents, non-animal tested personal care products, and the use of bamboo plates for outdoor entertaining. When conditions are not suitable for sailing, the fuel consumption is 10% of that of a motor yacht of similar size.
